Stacy and Laura, two promising South Beach lawyers, accept a prize at the banquet offered by their firm. But Stacy's dreaming comes to an abrupt end when her cell phone rings with the terrible news that her estranged sister Kate was strangled by an unknown killer. Stacy returns to her hometown to investigate the horrific murder. She hadn't spoken to her sister in years, since their parents died, and once there she is reminded of her beautiful childhood. Impatient and self-conscious, along with the local sheriff, Stacy quickly finds some traces of her own, but is shocked when she goes on a search alone and discovers Kate's online secret on a dingy and tacky dating site.
