Helgi - a young man who hopes to become a famous writer - returns to his hometown with his girlfriend. He has bad memories of this place, ever since his mother ran off with a German and left him as a small child. Far away from the busy city life, Helgi hopes to complete his first book here. Helgi goes to the woods, because he wants to shoot a reindeer.
