Die Maßnahme plot

Police officer Roland Prengler is sent undercover to solve a small-town murder case that his local colleagues have gritted their teeth. Three years ago, the then seventeen-year-old Lucy disappeared here. The police suspect she was murdered and even have a suspect: the alcoholic outcast Werner Seiler, who lives on a farm on the outskirts of town. Roland must befriend the loner, gain his trust and trick him into confessing. However, the feigned friendship takes its toll on Roland's moral integrity.
