Curse of the Kraken plot

The crew of a freighter at sea is attacked by a giant, mutated version of the kraken. The sea monster turns some crew members into grotesque sea creatures. The other sailors fight to survive and try to find a way to stop the kraken and save humanity before it's too late. A scientist, who is also on board, simultaneously tries to find an antidote to help the infected crew members.

I didn't think I had to say this, but this is the worst thing the horror challenge has brought. A free Daily Motion Chinese monster movie with annoying Chinese subs that thankfully only lasts 70 minutes.

Now, the film can't do much about the lousy commercialized streaming. It can do much about the 70 minutes of horror. Horror in the sense of really bad, that is. I always try to see the positive in a film and therefore almost never give a 0.5*, but this simply doesn't deserve better. Not a single positive point experienced: the minster is as fake as anything, the action is lame, the acting is bad, the dialogues are laughable, the plot is worthless, the camera work is lousy and so on...

The Sharnoda experience is included for free. The feeling of it being so bad it's good doesn't apply here. So skip it!
