Alice was married to a deranged police officer and was assaulted by him. He was seen as a mainstay by the local community, but he was actually a monster. Alice killed him in self-defense and has been living in a secret location ever since, because she thinks no one believes her. Alice has to deal with an old friend of her late husband's. He has tracked her down and demands money.
