Charlotte is recently divorced and has a teenage daughter named Aubrey. Because Charlotte currently has no money for a school far away, Aubrey attends a local school and lives at home to save money. Aubrey struggles to please her classmates and joins a secret society. Aubrey is manipulated, causing emotional distance between her and Charlotte.
