Forced by the famous aviator Ellissen (Hans Albers), the Lennartz Company realizes a plan by his friend Droste (Paul Hartmann): FP1, a gigantic floating platform in the Atlantic Ocean, which makes long-haul flights more possible. Ellissen is in love with Claire Lennartz (Sybille Schmitz), the heiress to the company. However, when he returns from his journey to save the platform from destruction, Ellissen finds himself having lost Claire to Droste.
