A rather unbalanced but quite entertaining film. This dystopian world is rather lazily conceived but has a gimmick that works comically but is not at all realistic. Adults never have physical contact and take medication to suppress all emotions.
What follows is an interesting journey of discovery when the main character stops taking medication and wants to experience her emotions in full breadth. In itself a funny idea but it is also somewhat adolescent. Also towards the end it becomes somewhat lazy and predictable. Nevertheless a fine watch, as a romantic comedy it works. But the science fiction dystopian elements do not quite come into their own.
