The Marriage of Corbal plot

France 1790. During the French Revolution, Cleonie De Montsorbier was sentenced to the guillotine. The insurgent Varennes tries to save Cleonie by disguising her as his cousin and smuggling her out of the country. However, both have to deal with the aristocrat Marquis of Corbal, who, like Varennes, is in love with Cleonie.
