American teenager Daphne Carroll is sent to Paris to attend school. By the time she returns, she has turned into a fashion-conscious woman with broad views on love and fidelity. This embarrasses her lover, politician Curtis Lee, especially since she does not increase his chances of reelection. Curtis starts avoiding her and Daphne doesn't let that stop her.
