Schwarzwaldmädel plot
The greatest weakness of the young painter Hans Hauser is jealousy. His girlfriend Malwine, a well-known revue singer, flirts a lot without noticing that Hans is extremely annoyed by her behaviour. He decides to end their relationship and together with his friend Richard he undertakes a trip to the Black Forest. There, at a costume ball, Hans meets Bärbel dressed as a Schwarzwaldmädel, whom he falls in love with instantly. She also likes Hans very much, but keeps him at a distance. Bärbel now works as a housekeeper for Kapellmeister Römer. Due to all sorts of misconceptions, Hans thinks that his great love is in love with the Kapellmeister, and with his jealousy he absolutely can't stand it.
