Pagan Love Song plot

"SOUTH SEAS TECHNICOLOR MUSICAL!"

The half-American, half-Tahitian woman Mimi Bennett (Williams) has had enough of her life in Tahiti and decides to leave for the United States. There she meets the new owner of an old coconut plantation, Hazard Endicott (Keel). He used to be a schoolmaster, but his late uncle left him the plantation. The two fall in love and Mimi decides to stay for the time being.
