North of the Rio Grande plot
Bob, son of Colonel Haddington, leads a party against raiders in a settlement. In his absence, one of the prize horses is stolen and his father is killed. Bob vows revenge and becomes known as Velantrie, leader of a gang of semi-bandits, and befriends a priest, Father Hillaire.
