Napoleon and Josephine: A Love Story plot

This miniseries tells the story of Josephine de Beauharnais, a Creole widow who escaped the horrors of the French Revolution. However, she did lose her husband under the guillotine. In the years after the revolution, she encounters the "little" general Bonaparte. Napoleon Bonaparte marries Josephine shortly afterwards. As his empire grows, the prestige of the imperial couple grows. But the duties that come with it are not good for their marriage.
