Les Miracles N'ont Lieu Qu'une Fois plot

1939 promises to be a good year for Claudia and Jerôme. They meet at the university where they study medicine. It's love at first sight. But the war breaks out a few weeks later so that they can no longer marry. Jerôme fights for his homeland, but ends up in a concentration camp. He manages to escape and joins the partisans. After the war, he marries a girl he doesn't love and from whom he eventually divorces. And then he meets Claudia again in a clinic, where she works as a nurse. Unfortunately, the spell their love once radiated is gone. Claudia confesses that she lives with another man.
