Late Bloomer plot
Jenny Taft is a botanist by profession. She traveled the world with Owen, her boyfriend, in search of a rare orchid. Jenny moves to California to help her mother sell her house. Once again, Jenny is confronted with the bullying she endured as a child. She also meets Shane, a man she had a crush on as a teenager. He is now a teacher by profession and regrets what he did to her before. In an effort to make amends, he asks Jenny to accompany him to a school dance. Jenny discovers that she's starting to feel something for Shane again.
