Je T'Attendrai plot
During the First World War, a train could not continue due to an explosion at the track. Paul takes the opportunity to walk over to his parents who happen to live nearby. However, he should be back within an hour. In the village he learns that his fiancée no longer lives with his mother and works in a tavern of a possessive owner.
