Hengst Maestoso Austria plot
Pikeur Georg Hochleitner would like to acquire the stallion Maestoso Austria, but he lacks the means to buy the Lipizzaner noble animal. He often goes to the stud to admire the stallion. There he meets Countess Marika Szilady, Maria for intimates, a widow with whom he initially quarrels about the horse, but in the end they fall in love. Maria is called back to her estate in Hungary and Georg goes home. If he receives an inheritance, he can buy the animal, but at the stud he hears that Maria has preceded him. He is allowed to take the beast to Hungary, where he sees Mary again. He is easily removed by her brother-in-law Count Ferencz Szilady, but Maria gives him the horse, with which he travels to his new home, the idyllic St. Georgen. His letters go unanswered, because Ferencz keeps them away, but when he sends her a telegram, she comes to him.
