Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy plot
The Christmas season is approaching and New York City's Katie Connell, a writer with a published novel, visits the Christmas town of Evergreen, Vermont. What begins as a vacation quickly turns into a work trip when her mother, Patti, the editor of a business magazine, asks her to write an article. Katie decides to find a story in Evergreen and its Christmas traditions. She meets Ben Baxter, a librarian who once worked as a reporter, and discovers that a 50-year-old time capsule is opening this year to celebrate the 50th Christmas festival. It doesn't take long for the skeptical Katie to develop feelings for Ben.
