Chris (Jane Seymour) has given up her career to raise her late sister's son. After seven years, Mason (James Brolin), the boy's father, suddenly appears on the scene and demands custody of him. The child comes up with a special solution to the problems that have just arisen: if Chris and Mason would just get married now, there would be nothing to worry about.
