Cassie is a theater director by trade and is temporarily visiting her hometown of Dickens. She has been commissioned to direct the play A Christmas Carol on Christmas Eve. The play is being performed for the hundredth time, so Cassie feels the pressure. When the protagonist suddenly develops a sore throat, Cassie faces a major challenge.
