Ian Richardson, here as Holmes immortal (unfortunately not literally, RIP 2007), absolutely the best I've ever seen, in a very atmospheric film with beautiful shots of the Moors. My favorite adaptation of this story.

very good and exciting movie good actor in the role of the famous detective sherlock holmes

I have seen more of this character also some other versions of the same story but I still found this one to be different in terms of atmosphere even though the film is from the 80s the decor and landscape are very well done and we already know the mystery from the other movies but it's more something different I don't think this one is as good as the previous one so yes just good

Quite a piece of childhood sentiment that I once saw on TV in my younger days, and made an impression, and read for my English book list in high school. The story didn't have much surprise, I was curious as there are many different versions.

The start is solid and calm, but you can say that it is a bit on the dry side and sometimes lacks some swung. There is, of course, the well-known story of the Baskerville family haunted by the legend of a ghost dog brought by Dr. Mortimer seeking help for this case. A case that does appeal to Holmes. Just as we are used to from Hercule Piorot, a story develops here with many suspects and motives and some additional damage.

The views and nature are nice, anyway, the film is already much better on location, the cast is fine with Brian Blessed, Denholm Elliott, Connie Booth and Glynis Barber from Dempsey and Makepeace in particular stands out, what a beautiful lady she is. The mystery of who did it, though no surprise to me, remains well hidden until the very end and is played out well in a Holmes-esque way.

This The Hound Of The Baskerville stands out as solid with a spry Sherlock Holmes. Still, a lot has been said with that, of course the film has its limitations in age and special effects, but that's not the biggest flaw. Above all, the film feels very correct and stiff, as said without real swung, you can say boring and not really exciting. It is that Ian Richardson as Sherlock Holmes manages to throw in some humor, but that's about all. However, there is still enough in it for the sentiment I feel for this story, and it was nice to see the film.
