Nebelmörder plot
In the small quiet town of Hainburg, bloody robberies are committed. The population is shocked. All the murders have happened in a heavy fog, so the police have no witnesses or evidence of the perpetrator. The press calls him the 'Phantom den Hainburger Nebelmörder'. But after the third murder, there are finally two eyewitnesses: first, the widow of the murdered man, and the schoolboy Heinz Auer, who in the nick of time saw another person run away. During the further investigation, the commissioner of the judicial police, Hauser, encounters several suspects. But just when they think they've arrested the culprit, unexpected things happen.
