Money Mad plot

Martin Ross and his East Indian servant, Sima, poison Mrs. Dean, leaving her money and pearls to her daughter, Elsie. Ross, the executor of the estate, spends all the money with the willing help of the seductress Fanette, but manages to keep the priceless pearls. When Elsie reaches 18, she discovers she is destitute and formulates a plan to retrieve the jewels with the help of her friend William Gavin Jr. Elsie poses as the seer "Madame Rama" and turns Ross against Fanette, who has recovered the pearls from their hiding place.
