Leave It to the Irish plot

"Crime on His Hands and Gals in His Hair!"

Private investigator Terry Moran, who is in love with Nora O'Brien, the daughter of police detective Tim O'Brien, is hired by Mrs. Hamilton to solve the murder of her fur trader husband. Moran is beaten up by the henchmen of Maletti, owner of the Black Swan Club and dealer in stolen goods, and is ordered to drop the case. Later, Terry and Nora search Hamilton's warehouse after finding a sales receipt for a large amount of booze, only to find that the booze has been replaced with stolen furs. Terry breaks into Maletti's office and finds him dead. The police then charge him with murder.
