Edogawa Rampo no Injû plot
A crime novelist bumps into a woman in a museum and, out of the corner of his eye, sees conspicuous red welts on her back. Later he happens to meet her again and they start talking. She turns out to be a big fan of his work. She has also received a few threatening letters from an old lover who says to watch her day and night, and she asks the writer to help her. Intrigued by the story and the mysterious woman, he begins his investigation.
