Tosca: In the Settings and at the Times of Tosca plot

Floria Tosca, a singer, is in love with the painter Mario Cavaradossi. However, he is imprisoned for allegedly harboring Cesare Angelotti, a fugitive prisoner. Baron Scarpia, chief of police of Rome, in turn, is in love with Tosca and blackmails her: he will free Cavaradossi if she surrenders to him.
