The Pied Piper of Hamelin plot

The town of Hamelin is overrun by rats and a mysterious flutist is hired to deliver them from the plague. The man agrees on the condition that he subsequently receives 50,000 guilders. But when the mayor, on the advice of his counselor, breaks his promise, the man lures all the children of Hamelin into the mountains.
