Mexican singer 'Pepe' Villarreal is tired of his status as a heartthrob among his adoring female fans, who rip his clothes off and chase him after every performance. After being on a radio show, Pepe is harassed again and then returns to his hotel room with his manager Esteban Guzman. Pepe insists that he wants to stop singing, but before he can finish his conversation with Guzman, he must first send away his most ardent admirer, the Cuban dancer Lupita who was secretly in his hotel room. Pepe's irritation inspires Guzman to believe that if he were married, his fans would leave him alone. Guzman is determined to find a so-called wife for Pepe.
