Linie 1 plot
Sonny, who comes from the province, stands abandoned and lost in Berlin Zoo station. She followed the rock star Johnnie because he told her to come to Berlin when she no longer wanted to be home. In search of her Prince Charming, Sonny takes subway line 1 to Kreuzberg, where Johnnie is believed to live. On her journey, she encounters the strangest and most colorful types in the entire metropolis.

Linie 1 is a German punk musical made in West Berlin in the late 1980s. The acting and the songs have something clumsy about them, but the makers' hearts are clearly passionate.
Fighting for a new Germany, disapproval of the Nazi regime and the feeling of freedom and joy is what the film manages to convey throughout its entire running time. Objectively there is a lot to criticize about this film, but the energy, rawness, social commitment and, above all, hope for a better future still make this a relevant and pleasant viewing experience.
