Jailbird Rock plot

"Murder... Music... Mayhem...!"

A young dancer protects her mother from her abusive stepfather. When, one bad day, he wants to take his wife again, the girl intervenes and shoots him. She is arrested, convicted and sent to prison. She meets a couple of fellow inmates who have devised an escape plan. During the performance of a musical they want to leave the prison unseen.
