Die Blume von Hawaii plot

Shortly before the turn of the 20th century, the US military occupied Hawaii and deposed the queen. Governor Harrison has ruled the archipelago ever since. The Hawaiian princess Lia has more or less come to terms with the new balance of power and she prefers to stay in Paris, where her parents had her education in her youth. As a child, Lia was married off to Prince Lilo-Taro, but he loves life more than his homeland and travels often. Meanwhile, a large part of the Hawaiians have had enough of the American occupiers.
