Diamond Horseshoe plot
"The musical that outstrips them all"
Joe Davis Jr. (Dick Haymes) tells his father Joe Davis Sr. (William Gaxton), that he wants to drop out of medical school. Joe Jr. wants to be in show business, like his father, who owns a nightclub. Joe Sr. disagrees, but eventually gives his son a job as manager at his club. Claire, Joe Sr.'s girlfriend, promises a fur coat to club dancer Bonnie Collins (Betty Grable) if she hooks up with Joe Jr., because she hopes Joe Sr. then pay more attention to her. But when Bonnie and Joe Jr. really falling in love and wanting to get married, his father is certainly not happy about that.
