The cocky college student Francis J. Finnegan's prowess on the football field is surpassed only by his appreciation of the ladies. But his arrogant manners and accompanying overbearing ego have alienated Finnegan from his former best friend Larry Stacey. Stacey is a serious man who has a hard time with Finnegan's behavior. Things seem to go wrong for Finnegan when he graduates and isn't offered a job.
