Rossella O'Hara celebrates her sixteenth birthday at Tara, her family's estate, in the southern United States. She is in love with Ashley, who is engaged to her cousin Melanie. Rossella O'Hara confesses her feelings to Ashley, but she can't reciprocate her love. Rhett Butler, an adventurous and handsome guy with a dubious reputation, happens to witness their intimate conversation. That same day, civil war broke out between the northern and southern states.
