Awake Zion plot

This documentary explores the connections between Rastafari, reggae and Judaism. Rastafarians believe in the divinity of Haile Selassie, the Ethiopian emperor who reigned until 1974. For many of them, he is the reincarnation of Jesus. Reggae is a type of music that comes from Jamaica, allied to the Rasta faith. Judaism includes the Jewish religion, culture, philosophy and way of life. Various historians and musicians have their say and various connections are made.
