Expectations were low for this film, but in the end it turned out quite well. Great entertainment nothing more. Bad, annoying actors, especially the one who dies last. The story wasn't too bad and the execution was nice, despite the bad effects of the beavers and the sounds they made. Slow build-up without atmosphere. I didn't like the idea that people could change if you were bitten. This film is entertaining, other than that it's nothing.

What can you say about this?

Zombie beavers are an idea that usually won't score very highly. And the film delivers exactly what I expected, bikinis, bad effects and lots of sex jokes. And that is actually exactly what you see.

The film is funny at times. And the beavers look so stupid that it sometimes becomes comical. It all seems to have been invented by students. The not-so-gritty kills are a bit of a downside since the characters are quite annoying.

But if you like the idea, this is highly recommended. I just have a feeling they're making this bad on purpose

A horror comedy about cuddly fluffy creatures that turn into bloodthirsty monsters with a tasty appetite for human flesh. We're talking about beavers. I don't care for beavers. Beavers are boring creatures. In this film the beaver is used as an object of laughter and horror. In vain. After the film I still have no interest in beavers.

The first scene is actually quite nice. A comic duo that turns out to be the highlight of the film is at the beginning of the beaver plague. The comedy duo has wonderfully cheesy dialogues that are genuinely comical. The high humorous level of those two is no longer reached in the remainder of the film, except for a second performance by the same duo that is of the same successfully bland level. In an earlier post, a user stated that the duo deserves their own movie. Yes. I totally agree with that.

Zombeavers tells a thin story, which mainly relies on the comic attacks of the beavers and the funny texts and actions of the characters. The derailed beavers are clearly glove puppets and look ridiculous. The main cause of the poor appearance may have been budgetary shortages.

I always think it's very commendable to use manual effects, but then let the creatures do some interesting things. Unfortunately, the creatures and their actions are not very fascinating or funny.

The same applies to the characters. The usual cross-section of American university life presents itself with sex, drugs, Rock 'n Roll and very nice ambiguous Beaver jokes. That's laughing. Just kidding.

Hm, when I read this back, it has become a negative piece of text. However, the film well deserved it. It was also just really bad.
