The Rezort plot

"A vacation to die for"

After the outbreak of a virus that turns people into zombies, the human race has won the battle against the zombies and the zombie danger has passed. The virus occasionally rears its ugly head, but in such a case zombies are quickly and skillfully eliminated by the authorities before the risk of infection arises. In this safe world where danger is under control, the new craze is called "Zombie Safari". People can go on safari to shoot zombies. A standard zombie flick with the typical eliminations. It's never anything special. The effects lack the necessary budget to look good. The zombies do look pretty good, though. Lots of random appearances of zombies falling from the ceiling or jumping on someone out of nowhere. A rather mediocre way to thin out the group. A film you can safely skip.

This is indeed a cross between Jurassic Park and zombies. To be honest, I didn't have much affinity for the hunters. Even though they're zombies who caused a great deal of suffering, I found it rather sickening to simply shoot them on safari and solely for that purpose. This is besides the point, of course, because as a film concept, it's quite nice that something had to go wrong.

It's also a bit bizarre how things go wrong. It didn't seem so safe after all. The plot then shifts to the story of the little Indians. One of them keeps dropping out. The film is a bit uneven, and the zombies pop up out of nowhere at all times. A bit too clichéd and predictable. Here too, there's some variety in the zombies, with fast and slow zombies.

A great start, too, with the media raising moral issues that ultimately weren't pursued enough. I'd hoped for something like District 9 (Film, 2009) or Starship Troopers (Film, 1997), but that wasn't it. All in all, definitely entertaining.

Mediocre zombie film, watched today, and the story revolves around a group of young people who think they can shoot zombies, like a game on an island. But when the power goes out or the equipment malfunctions, the zombies go into overdrive and kill everyone in their path...

So suddenly it's no longer a game, but survival with a lot of shootings and chases/escapes.

It's all quite nice, but it never really gets exciting and there's no spectacle whatsoever.
