The Cat Creeps plot
"Is this girl the "cat" or is she the "canary"?"
Twenty years after the death of misanthropic millionaire Cyrus West, his heirs are summoned to the haunted ancestral home to read two newly discovered sealed envelopes. Called in are Cyrus' grandniece Annabelle West and a number of predatory, possible heirs. The first envelope contains Cyrus West's will and the second envelope may not be opened until the terms of the will are carried out. Shortly before the second envelope is opened, the sinister attorney Crosby disappears behind a secret panel and is found murdered moments later. Annabelle, who last saw Crosby, is the prime suspect.
