"Once the ride starts, the terror never stops!"
Haunted by a vicious initiation prank that ended horribly, Alana boards a party train with a group of college students for a Halloween party. At first, there is an eerie excitement in the air, but their joy turns to terror when those in attendance are murdered one by one by an unknown, vengeful killer. Because of the many costumes and chaos, everyone is a suspect. As the party train rolls on at full speed, Alana must identify the killer before she becomes the next victim.

Cheap remake of a semi-famous slasher, made with as few resources as possible and for maximum returns. It is because director Philippe Gagnon has a reasonable sense of entertainment, which means that Terror Train never becomes boring despite the good design. The acting is also not bad, but everyone struggles with a lousy and unsurprising scenario. The murders are relatively numerous, but not bloody or brutal enough to make a lasting impression. Because of this, Terror Train will likely be forgotten for most viewers immediately after seeing it. It all yielded enough for a sequel, but with this minimalist effect I don't see any potential improvement. I quickly guessed the final approach.
