London, 1846: Successful barber Sweeney Todd has been tormented for years by the loss of his parents at the hands of a cruel judge. One fateful evening, his path crosses that of local baker Mrs. Lovett, a woman who has also been the victim of a terrible miscarriage of justice by the same judge and his corrupt henchmen. Todd and Lovett hatch a plan to end the cycle of abuse and exploitation and form a pact.
