Hera, a young woman with beautiful eyes, is sexually assaulted by her older colleague Zach. This turns her dream job into a nightmare. She tries to keep her career going while she is tormented at work, at home and in her dreams by a mysterious monster that resembles a tree.

A captivating film thanks to its interesting subject matter and settings, even though the essence of the story is quickly given away. Director DW Medoff certainly doesn't rely on horror, as there's no practical violence and no tension is generated; only a hint of negative, escalating psychology remains. It's primarily Ava Rose Kinard's one-man show, convincingly portraying an insecure young woman who longs to fit in in a formal setting. The escalating scenes in this film are easily entertaining, and Medoff delivers some creative twists, but the stark visuals and uninspiring horror elements leave much to be desired. Nevertheless, a great success, judging by the average ratings.
