Nightmare on the 13th Floor plot

"Scream bloody murder. While you still can."

Elaine Kalisher visits the Wessex Hotel to write a report for a travel magazine. She is told that the hotel does not have a thirteenth floor. However, it turns out that there is, because during her search the elevator cable breaks and the elevator gets stuck between the twelfth and fourteenth floors. There, Elaine is horrified to see someone being murdered. When she regains consciousness, she is being treated by Dr. Alan Lanier (James Brolin). He claims she suffers from hallucinations. Unconvinced, Elaine sets out to investigate again and makes a shocking discovery.
