Lie Still plot

"Welcome to the house"

After breaking up with his girlfriend Veronica, unemployed John Hare rents a cheap room in an old boarding house run by the friendly Martin Stone. He tells him that the house is populated by discreet persons. John sees no other tenants in the house except a bizarre old woman. At night he sees strange things on his television and hears a loud knock on his door. When John calls Veronica, she notices that he is near a nervous breakdown because of the many sleepless nights and decides to stay with him. However, Veronica disappears during the night and John will have to make a final decision.
