A free adaptation of the well-known book by Gaston Leroux, in which this time the Phantom is not a mutilated musician, but a lonely orphan boy who lives under the opera house in Paris and is raised by the rats. He is so fond of the rats that he unceremoniously rescues anyone who tries to hurt his critters. The Phantom's greatest enemy is Ignace, the rat exterminator of Paris.
