There is no story, the acting is terrible, and the last 10 minutes are just plain bad. But there is also plenty to enjoy. The setting is very beautiful and enough tension is generated. The soundtrack is good in places, but also often too loud. The kills are decent, though there could have been a bit more gore.

Very entertaining low-budget horror movie!

The film simply does what it's supposed to do: kills, blood, gratuitous nudity, a bare hospital, and freaky patients to ramp up the horror and trash factor. The director also knows how to lead you astray, ensuring a constant tension. The very slow scene in the hallway where Suzan stands behind a curtain and drops a lighter is one to frame. Delightful pulp! 7.5/10

Mediocre.

A slasher set in a hospital once again. We've seen it before, but for me, it remains one of the scariest locations for such an event. They simply aren't the most comfortable places in the world.

It all starts off quite entertaining, but eventually it starts to become less and less interesting. The location itself provides most of the magic, as it certainly doesn't come from the content. The film is slow to get going and it takes too long before things start to pick up pace.

This film wants to combine two horror themes once things get going. One is a killer roaming the hospital, and the other is being held against your will in a hospital bed. They are fun as separate subjects, but they don't combine perfectly in this case. Especially because the focus ultimately clearly shifts towards the slasher side, which comes at the expense of the other plot.

The acting is surprisingly better than usual, but some characters are quite bad again. They fall short, especially when a more threatening and intimidating side of the cast is expected. As a result, a large part of the atmosphere is quickly lost.

The murders are reasonably detailed, but otherwise they don't rise above slasher kills. A lot happens off-screen and there is little effort. They are sometimes well-built, but the point is that they just don't want to be special. No unique angle and no innovative elements. You can't help but wonder why so many slashers have to resemble each other.

It is reasonably watchable, but falls short when compared to other slashers. On its own, it simply does nothing innovative and struggles to connect the two horror concepts. The result is yet another uninspired slasher straight out of the 80s. A shame.
