Kirsten will turn 18 in three days. She discovers through her sister that she has been adopted and that her real parents are from the village of Selmen. Kirsten travels to the village to inquire about her parents. Her quest takes her back to the dark past of the cursed place. When Kirsten realizes that the pyre-burned witch Hepzibah progresses nine sacrifices every century and Kirsten is number nine, it is almost too late. Fortunately, she finds some friends who support her.
