My 0.5 vote bar is skyrocketing again. Why do I give so few ratings? Some say I'm not a movie buff.
Yes, but there is too much waste, such as this monstrosity... terribly amateurish.
Actually, you should be able to give negative points for these kinds of films....

The clownish serial killer Carl Cane escapes from a mental institution and takes up his old hobby again. Helloween is a relatively short film, which is fine. It introduces an interesting villain who unfortunately finds himself trapped in a rather unsurprising horror film. A predictable story. Flat characters. Not exciting. Not explicit. Not very atmospheric. A TV movie level. Villain Carl Cane deserved a better film.

A very sloppy slasher in which director Phil Claydon endlessly focuses on portraying the killer as menacingly as possible. This character operates on quite a large scale, with entire technologies being taken down and national phenomena being built up. The finale, however, strangely enough, doesn't get much further than a fistfight, which clearly shows that the filmmakers were overpowered by their own ambitions. In terms of color usage and production, Helloween looks reasonably good at times, but the acting is on the weak side and the characters don't work effectively enough. The short running time makes for a simplistic film experience with a number of grand ideas, but it will likely have limited appeal to the horror audience.
