A real ordeal to sit through, because the unbalanced and constant exchange between styles, perspectives and ideas is seriously tiring for the viewer. Directing duo James Eaves and Johannes Roberts experiment wildly, but the end result looks confused and uncontrolled. Lyndie Uphill's lead role also lacks all the necessary charisma, making a sentimental character like this ineffective in terms of effect. The writers themselves probably seemed to have little idea what exactly it was all about, an impression that is only further reinforced once you find out that this is just an extended version of another film. Incomprehensible is the incessant music that is present from start to finish, but makes no atmospheric contribution whatsoever. Half a point more because Eaves & Roberts seemed to genuinely want to present something unique, but that's all the goodwill this (failed) horror project gets from me.
