"We dare you to see..."
Baron Frankenstein plans to create a new human race by assembling a man and a woman from collected body parts. However, he accidentally takes the head of a man who was about to enter a monastery, so that the man he creates has no interest whatsoever in procreation, something Frankenstein considers essential to the survival of his race.

A very nice exploitation variant on the story of Frankenstein. Udo Kier is once again very good in his role and steals the show wonderfully in this blood and guts-strewn story. Due to the side story of Joe Dallesandro who sexually assaults all the women on the site, the parts between the moments in which Kier goes wild also remain entertaining. The whole new vision of the story works incredibly well and even withstands the danger of boredom that many exploitation sometimes want. Flesh for Frankenstein is a very good over-the-top horror movie.

Thus Baron Frankenstein after he copulates with his experimental female object. This version of the well-known classic story is full of gory gore, nudity and also some bizarre dialogues. It had something of a giallo with some humor. It doesn't want to be exceptional and it also has some weak moments, but overall a pretty amusing film 
.

Udo Kier is particularly memorable in this archetypal eurotrash work. The Frankenstein story goes well with the tasty explicit gore and nudity. But hey, what story isn't? 
Moreover, with strikingly beautiful cinematography; some great scenes like the one at the long dining table. The laboratory is also a fine stage (almost literally) where a beautiful tragic final chord takes place. An ending that is already given away in the main menu on the Tartan release. And although the quality of that DVD is otherwise fine, this cult classic definitely deserves a worthy(!) Blu-ray release. Maybe a Morrissey-Warhol box set?
